Training, Coaching and Awareness

The following options can all be adapted to fit your requirements

Interview Preparation (Information and discussion £95)

If you are preparing for a NED (Non-Executive Director) or other senior role and you feel unsure about dealing with Diversity, Equity and Inclusion related questions we offer a 55 minute 1:1 session in which you can ask any questions without fear of judgement. We can cover the basics to ensure you understand the key terms, why DEI is important to business and address any specific DEI questions you know will come up in the interview, however the content of this session is really up to you.

This session is offered on a strictly 1:1 basis and is completely confidential.

Personal Story (Presentation or Conversation £300)

Jane tells her personal story as the mother of 2 adult children, one with a mental health disorder diagnosed at 20 and the other who is non-binary, and how this has led to her current career as a diversity and inclusion specialist, helping to create workplaces where people feel safe enough to be themselves.

Key learnings which Jane brings out are the importance of appropriate language and how by having uncomfortable conversations we learn how to be inclusive of others. We often avoid conversations out of embarrassment or even fear, however by avoiding the conversation we might inadvertently make work a difficult or even unhappy place for someone else.

Format: The session can be conducted as a presentation or as a conversation with the host. 20-25 minutes is given for the topic and then 5-10 mins are allowed for audience questions moderated by the host (max 30mins). For any size audience.

Price includes a pre-event meeting to determine how the session will run and link into company values/D&I strategy, plus technical check. If required as a live event, travel expenses will be in addition to the fee.

Being an Ally to the LGBTQ+ community (Presentation £500)

Format: The session is conducted as a presentation. 40 minutes is given for the topic and then 20 mins are allowed for audience questions moderated by the host. Any size audience.

Being an Effective Ally to the LGBTQ+ community Workshop (£1500-£3000 depending on format and size of cohort)

Jane uses her extensive experience as a trainer to facilitate an interactive workshop, where attendees discover the meaning of Allyship, why it’s important and how to be an Ally, with specific reference to the LGBTQ+ community. Topics include language, covering and interventions. Attendees will leave with a range of suggested actions and resources.

Format: The session is conducted as a mixture of interactive exercises, video and discussion. Depending on the size of the cohort the session will last between 2 and 3hrs, including a break. While the workshop works best as a live event it is possible to deliver a modified version on-line using break-out rooms.
